Close Encounters of the Wild Kind - Multiple Dates

Weekends in May, daily June - August then weekends in September.  Various times.  Roger Williams Park Zoo. Guests can now choose to feed the giraffes or the harbor seals for $20 per person, or experience an interactive close encounter with one of the Zoo's small animal ambassadors for $10 per person. See Zoo website for times for each encounter.  There is limited capacity for all of the encounters, and tickets must be purchased at Zoo admissions on the day of your visit. Encounters are very popular, so visitors would be wise plan their day so that they can buy their tickets soon after the Zoo opens at 9 am. There are some age restrictions and other requirements for safety and fees for all close encounters are in addition to regular Zoo admission charges.

Join the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE) for a unique opportunity to learn about children of color who are waiting for adoption in your community. The session is free and open to the public. Come speak with families who have adopted from foster care, and social workers from local agencies. Light breakfast will be served.

Based on a ballet originally produced in St. Petersburg in 1871, it explores the mis-adventures of the legendary Don, his comic servant Sancho Panza.  A lively cast of gypsies, toreadors, and Spanish dancers surround Cervantes idealistic Don and add to the merriment.

This now twice-yearly event is attended by hundreds of shoppers, and all un-sold items are donated to local charitable organizations that rely on these goods to serve families in need.

James and the Giant Peach

PAC is proud to present "James and the Giant Peach" featring students in grades 3-6.  James is young boy who discovers a magical, giant peach in the garden. He escapes into this peach, and during his journey, he makes new friends and discovers the joys of freedom and friendship.

ven little hands can do a mitzvah (good deed)! Work as a community to support Birthday Wishes, a non- profit organization that brings birthday parties to homeless children living in shelters. Come with your little ones to fill goody bags, make birthday cards, get your face painted, decorate cup- cakes and enjoy party games. Please bring a pack of juice boxes and/or a box of cake mix to donate to Birthday Wishes.
